Beethoven the Cat needs a home

Looking for a loving, declawed kitty? Here he is!! This is Beethoven. He was an owner surrender at a local shelter and one of our volunteers took him home to foster. The next day, after bringing him to the shelter, a family member brought the little stuffed toy and a ball that they said belonged to the dog that was his friend. The dog had recently passed away. Beethoven held the stuffed toy very close at the shelter and still has it with him.

The Owner said that Beethoven d
oesn’t like children, but his foster mom thinks he just doesn’t like people grabbing at him which small children tend to do.

Beethoven is Front paw declawed and neutered. He is up-to-date on all vaccines and has tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV. He is a bigger boy, weighing in around 15 pounds. He is about 7 years old.

Beethoven is cautious when he first meets you, but warms up quickly. He handled several people around him at the same time well. When he is comfortable he comes right to you and rubs against your legs. He loves to have his head scratched. When he lies down next to you he puts his back next to you and then uses his front paws to knead the air. He is an absolute gentleman. He is good with other cats and, from what the owner said, a dog as well. He should probably go to a home with no small children and hopefully a quiet home with a window. He loves to sit on the cat tree and watch everything outside. He is very affectionate once he knows you well enough. He is a gentle big boy.
